Today’s prayer
Supreme Source of Life, I give thanks for water: for rain that nourishes the soil, rivers that sustain communities, and the water within my own body. Its movement teaches me that life is not still and that renewal often begins when I release what I can no longer carry. Help me wash away bitterness without erasing the lessons it taught me.
Where I have become rigid, soften my heart. Where I have felt depleted, guide me toward rest and replenishment. May I meet obstacles with the patience of water finding its course, persistent but not destructive.
May I protect this precious gift in the world around me and never take it for granted. Let my emotions flow without controlling my choices, and let my spirit find clarity as a river clears after a storm. So may it be.
The opening and closing are suggestions. Use your own words for the sacred, or none at all.
A two-minute pause
Breathe slowly and widen your attention outward: to the room, to the people in your life, to the living world beyond your walls. Let yourself belong to it for a few breaths.
There is no timer. Close the guide whenever you are ready.
If you like, add quiet background sound with Ambient sound at the top of the prayer.
