Today’s prayer
Supreme Source of Life, I give thanks for the abilities entrusted to me: the skills I have practiced, the relationships I can nurture, and the potential I have not fully discovered. I do not ask to become someone else. I ask to become more responsible and generous with who I am.
Reveal where my strengths can solve a real problem or ease another person’s burden. Give me humility to seek feedback and perseverance to improve. Protect me from comparison, which makes another person’s success appear to diminish my own.
There is room for many kinds of contribution. May I turn talent into service and service into honest livelihood. Let my confidence grow from disciplined effort, not empty praise.
May I remember that every gift becomes more valuable when exercised with care. So may it be.

Breathe slowly and widen your attention outward: to the room, to the people in your life, to the living world beyond your walls. Let yourself belong to it for a few breaths.
