Today’s prayer
Supreme Source of Life, today I acknowledge the astonishing gift of being alive. Before I speak of what I desire, I give thanks for the life that makes desire possible. For breath, awareness, movement, memory, and the quiet miracle of another morning, I offer sincere gratitude.
Help me stop measuring my worth by what I have acquired or what others have achieved. Let me notice the kindness offered to me, the lessons hidden in ordinary days, and the possibilities that begin with a single conscious choice. When my thoughts rush toward what is missing, return me gently to what is present.
May this day be lived, not merely passed through. Let my words bring dignity, my work bring value, and my presence bring peace. May I treat existence itself as a treasure and use the hours before me in ways worthy of this gift. So may it be.

A two-minute pause
Sit comfortably and let your eyes rest on one ordinary thing near you. Breathe slowly and notice it as if for the first time. When your attention wanders, return to it without judgment.
