Today’s prayer
Supreme Source of Life, I seek material well-being, but I do not wish to gain it by exploiting others, misleading anyone, or betraying my own conscience. I honor the dignity of people involved in every exchange: workers, customers, neighbors, and strangers. Guide my hands toward honest work and my words toward clear promises.
When there is a shortcut that would injure someone or compromise my values, give me the strength to refuse it. Help me recognize that trust is a form of wealth and that a peaceful conscience cannot be purchased after it is lost. May the prosperity I pursue make me more responsible, not less compassionate.
Let success deepen my gratitude and broaden my capacity to serve. I ask for enough wisdom to recognize when enough is enough. So may it be.
The opening and closing are suggestions. Use your own words for the sacred, or none at all.
A two-minute pause
Breathe naturally. With each breath out, quietly name one thing that is already sustaining you right now: a person, a skill, a meal, a roof, a breath.
There is no timer. Close the guide whenever you are ready.
If you like, add quiet background sound with Ambient sound at the top of the prayer.
Reflection
How can my work create fair value for others?
